Julia & Jason: Majestic Hill-Top Wedding in Vermont

Julia & Jason's love of Vermont's pastoral beauty, horses, and Lake Memphremagog provided a stunning backdrop for their August 2010 wedding at the Cliff Haven Farm in Newport, Vermont. The rustic setting featured an outdoor ceremony and whimsical cocktail time, followed by an elegant reception fit for a King and Queen.

Our staff at NJoy Event Planning were treated to working with two wonderful families who had us laughing the whole weekend, despite a little rain! And as always, we loved working with such talented vendors as photographer Sabin Gratz, floral designer Nancy Murray from A Schoolhouse Garden, Jacques & Mimm LeBlanc from Cliff Haven Farm Bed & Breakfast, Matt & Maggie from Spice of Life Catering, all housed under three spectacular tents from Vermont Tent Company.

Avita & Tyler: Three Day Wedding Celebration

The second day of our three-day wedding celebration took place on Friday, with a traditional Indian ceremony. We were blessed with sunny skies for the entire weekend, and days of smiles and dancing.

Here is Avita getting ready for the ceremony. Isn't she stunning?

This photo of Avita with her mother is one of our favorites.

Gwen & Minner Hobbs of Flowers in Season draped sheer fabrics and strung hundreds of orchids to decorate the Mandaap for the ceremony.

Community members cooked for days to prepare a traditional Indian wedding feast. The food was amazing!

The couple were then showered in marigold petals as they left for the evening.

But there is still one more day! Check back soon for photos from Landwherle Photography of the formal reception!

Maticoor Ceremony in Vermont

In August we were treated to planning our first Indian/Trinidadian wedding. This three day event started on Thursday with the maticoor ceremony at the Bride's home. Minner & Gwen from Flowers in Season carefully selected traditional flowers for the event and Kathleen Landwherle from Landwherle Photography beautifully captured the vibrant colors of this special ceremony.
